Sash window upgrade including draught-proofing – Fleet, Hampshire

Substantial family home remodelled with hardwood double-glazed sashes and discrete draught-proofing installed. To coordinate with other planned works, this project was split into two distinct phases, starting with the first-floor units. We returned some months later to work alongside the client’s Main Contractor throughout the ground floor.

This was crucial to delivering the best thermal benefits as we were removing existing secondary glazing, and the old sashes had been sealed and painted shut in most cases.

With the larger sashes weighing up to 28 Kg each, we also upgraded the pulleys to ball-bearing race type with lead weights which ensured a silky-smooth operation.

New Sash lifts, locking Brighton fasteners and Secure Sash Stops completed the installation.
